A TECHNOLOGY FOR MEDICO-OCCUPATIONAL REHABILITATION OF SCHOOLCHILDREN WITH SCOLIOSIS

Before 1999, the system of professional orientation for sanatory boarding school leavers with scoliosis did not exist in Belarus. Now we have created a technology of medico-occupational rehabilitation including selection of patients from boarding schools in regional cities, their hospitalization in RIMSEER clinic, a comprehensive examination, occupational diagnosis, orientation and testing, and the choice of future professions.

Contraindications to certain kinds of labour were defined for children with scoliosis, and contacts were established with population employment services.
