Scientific and Information Department of Belarus Republic Scientific Medical Library.

The Department:

• Develops medical information systems, computer databases in the field of medicine and medical services market, as well as special software.
  
• Prepares for press and publishes scientific, popular scientific, production and practice, education, reference and other literature, manufactures make-up master copies of any intricacy, provides prestigious (presentation) catalogues, booklets, multimedia presentations, etc. for meetings, symposia, exhibitions.
  
• Publishes official annuals of HM RB: the catalogue "Public Health in Belarus. Institutions, Services and Ware. Who's Who", the collection "Accomplishments of Medical Science in Belarus", the statistical collection "Public Health in the Republic of Belarus", and others.
  
• Lends information support to medical institutions. It provides access to Internet resources for medical institutions via its own telecommunication site, produces electronic publications for Internet.
  
• Arranges advertising campaigns, marketing research in the field of Belarus' medical products market.
  
• Provides consultative service to the leading companies in preliminary examination and registration of medications and medical equipment in the Republic of Belarus.
  
• Renders methodological and consultative assistance in patenting and invention.
  
• Takes interest in carrying out projects in collaboration with foreign organizations. The subjects are as follows: development of various medical information systems, employment of telemedicine methods for solving the problems of distant diagnosis and training.
